Description

     The composition represents an Arkhangelsk woman and a little girl standing next to her, who hugs a doll, the most precious thing. Two figures, two generations, mother and daughter, who are in a bomb shelter to escape death. The woman holds the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, the guardian of Russia.
     The author of the monument is Sergei Syukhin, the famous Arkhangelsk sculptor and Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.
     The monument unveiling ceremony was on May 8, 2015 in the Victory Park.
